Our favourite things to get you in the Christmas spirit

It’s less than a week to go until our favourite day of the year, so if you haven’t already immersed yourself in christmas treats – now’s the time! It’s been a mental 2016, so we don’t blame you if you’ve kind of found it a little hard to get into the Christmas spirit this year, but we urge you to snap out of it and get festive! Here’s how we like to prepare for the holidays!

Get decorating

What are you waiting for?! Get that tree up, get those lights on & treat yourself to a cinnamon candle or three to really spice things up. You can’t very well feel Christmassy if your house is still donning Halloween decs. It’s also much more fun to decorate in company, so get your mates round and crack out the Prosecco!

Bake something yummy

Not much of a baker? Now’s your chance to discover a hidden talent. There’s nothing better than the smell of gingerbread baking in the oven, so call on Pinterest and find an easy-peasy recipe to impress the guys at work.

Create a playlist

Is that Drake album in anyway Christmassy? Thought not. It’s time to create a new playlist full of Buble, Mariah and Cliff. It’s a known fact (we’re sure) that Christmas songs make you feel happy, and they certainly help to get you in the Christmas spirit, so make sure you’ve got that new list playing through your speakers 24/7.

Have a movie night

No, not a horror movie night – unless it’s Nightmare Before Christmas. We’re talking It’s a Wonderful Life, Home Alone and Elf! Drink mulled wine or big mugs of hot chocolate, grab a Terry’s chocolate orange and snuggle with your besties, if you don’t feel 100% Christmassy by the time the credits role, we’re worried about you.

Get creative

Now you can bake, let’s see what else you can do. Ever made your own Christmas cards? Had a go at creating personalised wrapping paper? Pinterest is waiting to inspire you to go nuts with ribbons & glitter this year. Why not jazz up your Champagne glasses, or make your own Christmas jumper? Oh boy, the possibilities are endless.

Are you feeling Christmassy yet? Share your festivities with us at @invisibra!
